Introduction to Swallowfield Cottage

Swallowfield Cottage is a six sleeper self-catering accommodation unit. This venue has magnificent views of Sterkhorn, Cathkin Peak and Champagne Castle, in the Cathkin Valley of the Central Drakensberg.

Swallowfield Cottage Patio

Swallowfield Cottage has a large undercover patio area. A portable braai is provided for this area. Additionally a 6 seater external table. There is also a braai area under a large Sycamore tree, with magnificent views of the Drakensberg.

Open Plan Lounge/ Dining Room AREA

A large dining room which leads onto a sitting area, is provided. Furthermore, a substantial Jet Master and flat-screen TV loaded with movies. You are welcome to bring your DSTV decoder so that we can connect your decoder to a satellite dish. We have also introduced a free-to-view television decoder. We provide a range of board games for you to enjoy. The cottage has Wi-Fi.

Kitchen

A well-stocked kitchen, with a gas stove and fridge, is available. Additionally, there is a laundry with a top-loader washing machine.

Bedroom 1

Bedroom one contains a double bed and a large built-in cupboard. Also, an electric blanket is provided for those chilly winter evenings.

Bedroom 2

Two single beds are provided in room two. Additionally, both have electric blankets. A large built-in cupboard is also available.

Bedroom 3

This is a large master bedroom, with a desk and ample cupboard space. Additionally, a portable baby cot. The double bed has an electric blanket.

Bathroom and SEPARATE toilet

A bathroom with a bath/ shower combination and toilet is provided. There is an additional separate toilet.
